Designed for ceremony aisles, lounge moments, and celebrations that value detail, texture, and meaning.

Our story

Thread & Vow was founded by Krystin Leigh Smith, a prop stylist and former home décor shop owner with a lifelong love of vintage textiles and beautifully lived-in spaces.

Through years of styling homes, sets, and meaningful gatherings, Krystin was repeatedly drawn to pieces with history — objects that carried evidence of human hands, time, and care. Vintage rugs, in particular, became a constant source of inspiration: grounding a space, softening a moment, and quietly telling a story beneath it all.

Thread & Vow grew from a desire to share that beauty in a more intentional way. By offering heirloom-quality rugs as rentals, people celebrating life’s most important moments can experience the warmth and character of a storied textile — without the permanence or pressure of ownership.

Our name reflects this belief:

  • Thread — the craftsmanship, history, and human hands behind every rug

  • Vow — the promises, milestones, and moments worth honoring

Together, they represent a celebration woven with intention.

Thread & Vow was born in Toronto, Canada and nurtured to life by Krystin Leigh Smith, owner and curator.

Picked with care

Thread & Vow was created for people who believe beauty lives in the details — the quiet, meaningful ones that make a moment feel deeply personal.

We specialize in renting one-of-a-kind vintage and antique rugs for weddings and events, thoughtfully curated to add warmth, texture, and story to your celebration. Each rug has lived a life before it arrives at your aisle, sweetheart table, or gathering space — woven by hand, shaped by time, and rich with character you simply can’t replicate.

“From start to finish, working with Thread & Vow felt effortless. The rug added so much warmth and intention to the ceremony space—it became one of those details guests couldn’t stop admiring.”
